Day 25 Hot and Windy

Today was more difficult than an Ironman Competition. At one point during the day around 1:30 PM I decided to push on.  The map said no services for 58 miles. The wind was relentless and it was Hot. I made it to Larned Kansas around 7:30 PM.  I was tired. I camped in a city park.

Like surfing in the ocean the large trucks blowing by you in the oncoming lane create a large gust of wind like a giant wave at the ocean.  I started grabbing my lower handlebars and crouching to lessen the effect of the wind gust smashing into me like diving into the waves at the ocean.
