It has been a couple of days. I am well into Kansas now. I am enjoying Kansas. So far it has been shallow rolling hills with long stretches of not seeing anyone. I don't mind. The people I have seen have been friendly. Yesterday I had a choice at 3:30 to stop or keep going. It was a 40 some mile stretch ahead with no services on the route. I kept going for a 143 mile day. Today is the same. A choice, stop short or continue on a 50 some mile stretch in the hot late afternoon. The scenery, although relatively smoother and remote with few trees is still beautiful to me.
